March Break Program

The March Break Program invites youth from across the GTA to work together with Soulpepper artists over six days of their March Break week to develop creative ideas and their performance skills. The program is for youth ages 16-19 who are interested in creative exploration and collaboration.

The program is free and in addition, we provide a $20 cash allowance per day to each participant for lunch and transportation costs.


Program Dates/Times: Saturday, March 14 to Friday, March 20, 2020 (no session on Sunday, March 15), 11AM - 5PM daily.

The March Break Program is supported by the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP)

Curtain Up

Curtain Up

The Curtain Up program is a series of theatre workshops, each focusing on different theatre disciplines, including acting, music, and social change through theatre. Choose to apply to one, two, or all sessions!

The program is free and in addition, we provide a $20 cash allowance per day to each participant for lunch and transportation costs.


The application for Curtain Up Spring 2020 will be announced shortly.

City Youth Academy

City Youth Academy

This six-week intensive program will offer ten young people (ages 16-19) from across Toronto performance training led by Soulpepper Artists. These young artists will be given six paid weeks of rigorous performance skills training and artistic development as integrated members of the company. Projects will include scene study and creation, with training in movement, voice, ensemble, writing, rehearsal and performance. Each City Youth Academy Artist will also be paired with a Mentor from Soulpepper. This program is designed to inspire personal creativity, artistic discipline, and support young artists in the development of their own artistic practice.

The program is free and each participant will receive $490/week.

Alumni Program

Soulpepper aims to offer the Alumni of its Education programs a chance stay connected and engaged with Soulpepper’s staff, artists, and administrators.  We hope to offer programming that will deepen their skillset in specific arts-based techniques and practices and offer networking events. The program varies year to year, based on interest.
