KAREY LUNAU
Karey Lunau is a stalwart champion of the arts in the City and understands the importance of a vibrant cultural community to the overall health of urban centres. She is a retired litigation lawyer and small business owner based in Toronto. Her 35-year career reflects a long list of achievements.
- Karey has been certified as a specialist by the Law Society of Ontario, and has appeared at all levels of court and at several tribunals. Holding advanced certificates in both mediation and negotiation, she is a dispute resolution specialist: facilitating, advocating, and appreciating the need to resolve disputes in a “win-win” manner, all while managing expectations and maintaining relationships at all levels.
- As a small business owner, Karey fostered an inclusive management style that enhanced overall employee satisfaction and reduced turnover. As a consultant, she has been sought by firms and corporations to assist in management and technology system reviews, and in establishing workplace process efficiencies.
- As a teacher and communicator, she has developed and taught specialized training programs for adult professionals on topics including inclusive communications, communicating in plain language, dispute resolution, and ethics and professional responsibilities.
