Katherine Gauthier is thrilled to be back working at Soulpepper, one of her favourite artistic homes.

She is an award-winning actor, creator and writer, working on some of Canada’s most venerated stages such as the Shaw Festival, Arts Club Theatre, Théâtre La Seizième and over a dozen productions at Soulpepper. Katherine has received three Dora Award nominations (including Outstanding Performance Female), one My Entertainment World Award nomination (Outstanding Performance Female), two Jessie Award nominations (including Outstanding Lead Performance) and recently won Hamburg Film Award’s Best Actress Award for her work in the film Albatross. A graduate of Nightwood’s WriteFromTheHip program and the Soulpepper Academy, Katherine just completed her fifth season at the Shaw Festival as the lead in the world premiere of Edith Wharton’s lost play Shadow of a Doubt directed by Peter Hinton-Davis. While not acting in film, television or on stage, Katherine continues to develop and create her own work, including the plays Meeting and Memento Mori, as well as, completing post-production on two of her short films, including the Cayle Award winning film Age of Consent. Her film credits include The Boys (Amazon), Albatross (Harbourview Pictures), Saving Hope (CTV), The Strain (FX), Running with Violet (OutTV), Deep Six (Lengyel) and Deep Space (Lengyel).
