Tapestry @ The Park
Tapestry Opera’s critically acclaimed Rocking Horse Winner returns for a live concert presentation.
The Show: Rocking Horse Winner tells the story of Paul, a young man obsessed with fixing his family’s ‘bad luck’. His obsession connects him to a dark magic that helps him win money, but makes him vulnerable to powerful voices.
The Venue: Riverdale Park East is on the corner of Gerrard St. E. and Broadview Ave. with a beautiful view overlooking Toronto’s skyline. Guests are invited to dress for the weather and bring blankets to sit on the ground to enjoy a stunning open-air concert. Due to public health restrictions, capacity is very limited. Seating is on the ground within social distancing circles. Because of the slope of the park and sightlines for all guests, chairs and umbrellas are not permitted.
The Company:
Music by Gareth Williams
Libretto by Anna Chatterton
