Soulpepper Theatre is excited to introduce a new weekly workshop series - Bollywood Dance Classes!

These drop-in style classes are designed for both beginners and people with a range of experience. Every class will feature a new song and routine. Registration is Free/Pay-What-You-Choose. Book your spot today!

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR (August)


Anoshinie Muhundarajah
is a professional Choreographer, Dancer, and Movement Director.Anoshinie’s expertise lies in South Asian dance, specifically trained in Indian Classical and Bollywood. With over a decade of experience, some of her accomplishments and credits include working with Netflix, Apple Tv, Disney +, and CBC to name a few.Anoshinie believes in evolving as an artist, therefore continues to push boundaries within South Asian dance as she trains in western dance forms and fuses it with her traditional artform. Her career has taken her worldwide to perform, teach, judge, and volunteer. While being committed to bringing her craft to the forefront,Anoshinie is also an advocate for using the arts as a platform to connect with people to inspire, educate and empower communities globally.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR (september)

Nidhi Baadkar (she/they) is a contemporary and Bharatanatyam dancer who has worked and performed in Bahrain, Canada and India over the past 12 years. Nidhi completed her Diploma in Movement Art and Mixed Media at Attakkalari Centre, Bangalore, India where she studied Indian martial arts including Kalarippayattu and Chhau, contemporary dance and physical theatre. Currently residing in Toronto, Nidhi is an alumni of the Dance Arts Institute and Company Dancer at Nova Dance. She is a certified facilitator in Therapeutic Dance in Education and has facilitated creative movement workshops across GTA. Interested in diversifying her production and arts management skills, she recently started her role as the Company Manager at The National Ballet of Canada. As an aspiring movement artist and choreographer, Nidhi hopes to develop a vocabulary of her own which is deeply rooted within Indian aesthetics.
